They seem to only cherish a black woman's happiness (or alleged happiness) when a white man is seemingly the source of that happiness. Of course normal people can see the beauty of these moments. "It's about time that some black men do the right thing." Of course the "right thing" is marrying someone who looks like them an no one else. All those women in the videos you posted were "appropriate" (i.e. not light-skinned or non-black) according to SSC Standards.
As for the pic of Omar Epps, the SSC will think he must hate himself/his mother/his skin, etc to be with a woman lighter than him. As if there is some mandate that he must be with some with his own complexion.
The SSC never cared or don't care about Black love or any type of love for that matter. They only care about what they can get. Black love didn't work out for them, so they think that they can trash it and beg for White love. I am wondering what the reaction will be when the shit hits the fan and they finally realize that White men don't love them as much as they are trying to portray. Where will they turn then?
The thing is that Epps' wife is not light skinned. She is brown skinned. He is basically dark. But to appease them, he would have to severely limited his pool of women to choose from in order to find one who is his color or darker.
I love Omar Epps - he is such a good actor - House is one of my favorite shows. His wife is beautiful. God bless them.
If anybody says anything about him hating himself because she is lighter - they need to grow up and visit Africa, you find all shades of brown in pure African people.

My ex, though Jamaican was lighter than me does that mean I have self-hating issues? My new guy is darker than me does that mean he has issues? Also what the hell gives them the right to say that black people have issues but the turn around and marry white men but they want to claim it's just love and nothing else. I say Bullshit.

I believe that black love is dead only in the symbolic sense...we aren't obligated to pursue black love. But, there are still blacks marrying other blacks just as whites are marrying other whites and intermarriage. No type of love is more special than the other.
You should only be with a woman who "looks like" you? Bull crap. There are no shoulds. You should be with whoever makes you happy. I want a woman who looks nothing like me. I don't have boobs or long hair.
